this month's dog adoption results

San Diego Dog Adoption | Rock Church | Second Chance Dog Rescue This past weekend, The Rock Church Dog Lovers Ministry put on two adoption events—one in Point Loma, one in North County—in an attempt to get as many animals out of the shelter as possible before Christmas. We're happy to share that 21 dogs were adopted, clearing out an entire section at the Chula Vista Animal Facility!

If you're still looking for a great pet, there are PLENTY more in need of a home! We spent the afternoon with dogs like Fidel (above) and Noah (below), two little guys that love nothing more than being fed treats or taken for a walk. Noah really caught our attention when he showed us he could sit, shake, and lay down. Every time I took out a treat I'd feel his little scruffy paw land on my leg. He's just the cutest!

Noah | Second Chance Dog Rescue

Fidel and Noah are currently being fostered by Second Chance Animal Rescue. More info about them below!

Noah is a happy 2 year old Schnauzer Terrier mix that is about 20 lb. What a loving, shy, and sweet terrier guy!  He will put his head on your lap and become your best bud when he realizes you love him. Noah loves to talk to you when you show him affection and loves playing ball. He is that kind of scruffy and special dog that crawls into your heart and never leaves. He enjoys sitting at your feet, curled up next to you and feeling safe.  Noah gets along with other dogs and would be best in an home with adults.  He is such a wonderful gentleman who will reward your kindness with warmth and gratitude.

Noah is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.  His adoption fee is $200.

Fidel is a 1 year old Terrier mix that weighs 12 lbs.  Fidel is a great dog and gets along great with other dogs.  He is a young pup and has a lot of energy.  He is friendly with all people and kids.  He likes his play time but also enjoys cuddling or sitting on your lap.  Fidel will bark at other dogs at first but warms up quickly.  He is not completely house trained but he is working on it. This cutie would be a great addition to any family.

Fidel's adoption fee is $175.00 - he is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.

Please go to our website, www.secondchancedogrescue.org to complete an application to meet the dogs! Or, if you're interested in volunteering with us, check out the Dog Lovers Ministry!

PrepKitchen Del Mar reopens TOMORROW!

Prep Kitchen Del Mar Last week, noise downstairs from the studio went from sawing and hammering to chatting and dish scraping. My first thought was, "PrepKitchen opened early!" I headed over there at lunch to place my order, only to have two people stare at me blankly when I asked if I could get something to go. Apparently, they were still in "practice mode" and weren't officially open yet. BUT they let me place an order anyway...on the house. Wha?!! Not only do I get a delicious PK B.A.T., but I get it for FREEEE?!! Ah-mazing.

I'm going to have to start working out regularly now that PrepKitchen Del Mar opens TOMORROW.

This is for you, PK:
